Job summary

AGS Recruitment is seeking compassionate Support Workers for immediate full-time and part-time agency shifts in Roscommon and nearby areas. You will provide high-quality care, promote independence, and work within HIQA-aligned, person-centred care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification, 1 year’s care experience, CPR/Moving & Handling certificates (preferred), full driving licence and right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship).

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers for immediate full-time and part-time agency shifts in Roscommon and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Relevant QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar care environment
• Valid CPR and Patient Moving & Handling certificates (preferred)
• Full clean driving licence (required)
• Full right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
• Garda vetting will be conducted upon application

Required Skills

• Previous experience working in residential, nursing home, or hospital settings
• Previous experience supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities in a compassionate, person-centred environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A compassionate and person-centred approach to care
• Demonstrated ability to respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations
• A compassionate, person-centred, and professional approach to care

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working in residential, nursing home, or hospital settings
• Previous experience supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities in a compassionate, person-centred environment.
