Corlann – West Region is recruiting temporary part-time Support Workers for Rosedale School, Galway, to provide person-centred support to children aged 3–18 with intellectual disabilities. You will join a team delivering a wide range of services in partnership with families and professionals.
The role requires English fluency, flexibility, teamwork and some prior experience in school, healthcare or childcare.
A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent temporary Support Worker appointments may be made over the next 6 months.

Rosedale School, Woodlands Centre, Renmore, Galway.
Rosedale School is managed in partnership by Corlann – west region and the Department of Education and Skills. The children attending Rosedale School are aged between 3 and 18 years of age. Staff work collaboratively to support children who present with a range of complex support needs including some children with significant medical support needs.
Team Leader/ Deputy Team Leader
60 hours per fortnight based on a 5-day roster. The successful candidates may be required to work to accommodate an integrated day service, with weekend work, some split duty hours, public holidays, evening/night duty and sleep-ins to meet service needs. The Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported.
23 days pro rata per annum.
Department of Health Care Assistant (01/06/2026) salary scale - € 34,881 x 11 increments - € 47,624 (Max) pro rata per annum. Long Service Increment € 48,434 pro-rata per annum is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, sleep-ins and night-duty when worked. Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service.
This post is Temporary, part-time, fixed term for 2 years and pensionable.
A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. The probation period may be extended at the Employer’s discretion.
