Nua Healthcare Services in Ireland is seeking compassionate Assistant Support Workers to join our team. You will provide person-centred care, support daily activities, accompany clients in the community, and help them achieve independence.

No formal qualifications required; comprehensive training will be provided. A full driving licence is preferred or you are working towards one. Flexible shift patterns across a 7-day roster are required to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Previous experience in a support role is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and professionals.
• A full driving licence is required, or candidates must be actively working towards obtaining one.
• Flexibility and reliability to work across a range of shifts in line with service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing care to people who avail of our service and supporting daily activities.
• Assisting individuals to access and participate in their local community.
• Helping individuals develop education, skills, and personal goals.
• Supporting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointments, and social connections.
• Adhering to all Company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Working flexible shift patterns across a 24-hour, 7-day service to meet service needs.
