Job summary

Senneca in Dublin is seeking an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to lead inventory planning, production scheduling, and freight planning across our manufacturing network. The role emphasizes cost reduction, reliability, and audit-ready controls.

You will coordinate with multiple departments to forecast needs, drive improvements, and ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time while maintaining optimal stock levels.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages short- and long-range inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to minimize costs and meet delivery requirements.
• Manages cycle counting to maintain accuracy for business and auditor needs.
• Oversees production plans, inventory levels and schedules to meet customer requirements while minimizing excess.
• Plans and manages new product introductions to production.
• Liaises with internal departments to understand current and future product needs.
• Maintains integrity and fairness in manufacturing transactions and monitors compliance.
• Evaluates changes in receiving procedures, warehouse layouts, and inventory security.
• Plans and coordinates data to ensure material movement and storage at minimum expense.
• Interfaces with plant departments to maintain service levels and on-time delivery.
• Removes material flow constraints through long-term corrective actions.
• Writes and maintains departmental work instructions and training.
• Ensures cost-effective transportation and plans international freight.

Overview

We are searching for an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics Manager at our Dublin, IE facility.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages the preparation and implementation of short and long-range inventory plans for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods to minimize material costs and meet delivery requirements of the customer(s).
• Manages cycle counting to ensure a level of accuracy is maintained that meets our business and auditor’s needs.
• Oversees the preparation and implementation of short- and long-term production plans, inventory levels and schedules that will allow the Company to meet customer requirements properly while maintaining material inventory at lowest possible levels.
• Plans and manages new product and/or feature introduction to production.
• Liaises with other internal departments to maintain a thorough understanding of current and future product needs.
• Maintains a high degree of integrity and fairness in dealings and transactions with all elements of the manufacturing cycle and regularly monitors that activity to ensure its consistency.
• Evaluates and initiates changes in receiving procedures, warehouse layouts, material handling equipment, and security of inventory. Accountable for the receiving, storage, delivery and shipping of material.
• Plans and coordinates necessary data to ensure that material is effectively moved and stored at minimum expense to the Company.
• Interfaces with other plant departments as required maintaining a high level of customer service and on-time delivery for both internal and external customers.
• Interfaces with other plant departments as required maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing material flow.
• Remove material flow constraints through long-term sustainable corrective actions and solutions.
• Writes and maintains departmental work instructions and maintains departmental training.
• Ensures that the most efficient and cost-effective transportation of our goods and materials is used.
• Plans international freight and associated documentation.
• Performs miscellaneous-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must display a high level of maturity and sound judgement.
• Must communicate effectively, orally and written.
• Be familiar with current and evolving material and management systems.
• Must interface easily with customers and other plants and be capable of balancing risks and success factors so as to satisfy customer needs at the lowest cost.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Production Planning and Production Control systems and procedures.
• Be familiar with international logistics
• Minimum of three years’ experience in Supply Chain preferred
• Logistics experience preferred but not essential
• Leadership experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree desired, business, supply chain, engineering, logistics, mathematics, or statistics preferred.
