Job summary

Excel Healthcare is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist in Carlow to join a busy community pharmacy team on a permanent basis. Lead operations, deliver complete care, and ensure high standards across the team.

The role requires PSI registration, a Pharmacy degree, and at least 3 years post-qualification experience, with strong IT and communication skills.

Qualifications

Supervising Pharmacist NO WEEKENDS (BK1555) Carlow, Republic of Ireland

Salary: EUR42 - EUR45 per hour

Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting a Supervising Pharmacist on behalf of a leading Irish pharmacy provider for a permanent position based in Sandhills, Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist to join a busy, supportive team and take on a key leadership role within a well-established community pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with the pharmacy team to deliver complete care solutions for customers and patients
• Lead from an operational perspective, setting high standards across the pharmacy team
• Provide expert advice and support through customer and patient care conversations
• Take responsibility for professional, legal, and ethical pharmacy decisions
• Support the development, education, and training of colleagues
• Conduct regular reviews, audits, and risk assessments to support patient and public safety
• Deliver high-quality professional pharmacy services both personally and through the wider pharmacy team

Requirements:

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
• Degree in Pharmacy
• Minimum three years post-qualification experience essential
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and national and local pharmacy services
• High level of professional expertise and the ability to build trust with customers, patients, and healthcare professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong team-focused approach with the ability to collaborate effectively
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of the healthcare sector
• Commitment to ongoing learning, development, and mandatory pharmacist training
• Strong IT skills and confidence using pharmacy systems
