Job summary

Mainline is recruiting Substation Electricians to join our ESB Framework team in Southern Ireland on-site. You will work as part of an experienced project delivery crew on substations and ESB framework projects, contributing to installation, testing and commissioning under safety guidelines.

Qualified Electrician with substation experience is required; Safepass and MV/HV knowledge are advantageous. The role is permanent full-time with progression opportunities and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with relevant substation experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and safety awareness.
• Safepass holder; ESB site experience a plus; MV/HV knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Comply with EHSQ policies and procedures.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and order equipment with site management.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose faults using test equipment and hand tools.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers and components.
• Test circuits for continuity and safety of the system.
• Plan and install wiring, equipment, and fixtures per specs.
• Oversee assembly, installation and testing of electrical equipment.
