Job summary

Yugo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support student residences in central Cork. The role is based primarily at Lee Point with travel to Amnis House, Melbourn Point and Bottleworks on Saturdays.

You will perform planned maintenance, respond to repairs, and ensure safety and quality across properties while using CAFM and BMS systems to log work and monitor alarms. This position is part-time (20 hours/week) and pays €16,068 per annum.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of practical maintenance experience in accommodation or facilities management.
• Experience with minor plumbing; multi-skilled with carpentry, painting and general repairs.
• Understanding of planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and building compliance routines.
• Comfort with CAFM and BMS systems.
• Good fault-finding, organisational and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritise tasks.
• Strong health and safety focus and delivering a high standard of service.
• Experience working in occupied properties and dealing with residents/contractors.
• Eligible to work in Ireland on a 20 hour per week basis on a Thursday-Saturday.
• Ability to work across multiple residences; occasional evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, functionality and presentation of student accommodation across multiple residences.
• Base at Lee Point and travel between Lee Point, Amnis House, Melbourn Point and Bottleworks on Saturdays.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and routine compliance checks.
• Carry out reactive repairs including minor plumbing, painting, carpentry and lighting.
• Use CAFM to manage work orders and maintenance logs; monitor BMS alarms and escalate issues.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and handovers.
