Force Recruitment & Outsourcing in Westmeath, Ireland is recruiting an experienced Structural Steel Fitter to join our team. The role involves fitting, assembling and installing structural steel components according to drawings and site specifications.

You will read drawings, measure, cut, drill and fit parts, assist with erection on-site, and ensure quality and safety. We provide a competitive rate, overtime, training, PPE and a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a structural steel fitter or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in the use of fabrication and fitting tools.
• Strong knowledge of steel types, tolerances, and site safety standards.
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certificate.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and steel fabrication plans.
• Accurately measure, mark, cut, drill, and fit structural steel components.
• Assemble steel structures in the workshop and on-site as required.
• Assist with the erection and installation of steel frameworks on construction sites.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machinery to complete work to high standards.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with welders, crane operators, and site managers during the assembly process.
• Perform pre-assembly and final checks to confirm alignment, levels, and tolerances.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and use PPE.
