Kilsaran is seeking a Structural Design Engineer in Oranmore, Co Galway. You will oversee projects from design to production, preparing calculations for multi-storey structures and precast products while mentoring Design Technicians and coordinating with clients and contractors.

The role emphasizes adherence to deadlines, teamwork, and delivering high-quality design outputs in a sociable environment with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural design engineering with precast or reinforced concrete.
• A third level degree in a relevant field.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise daily workload.
• Ability to work in a team and on own initiative with deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Oversee a variety of structural engineering projects from design through production.
• Prepare structural calculations for projects including multi-storey buildings and carparks; design precast products.
• Mentor Design Technicians and review 3D models, GA drawings and shop drawings.
• Liaise with customers, external design teams and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to QS, H&S, manufacturing and site erection teams.

Role

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of structural engineering projects for our clients, from initial design through to production. In this challenging role, you will prepare structural calculations for a wide range of projects, including multi-storey buildings and carparks, and design high quality pre-cast products that meet specifications. Mentor Design Technicians and guide them on all design aspects of the project. Check the Design Technicians 3D models, General Arrangement drawings and shop drawings. Liaising with customers, external design teams and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard. You will provide technical guidance to our QS Department, H&S Department, Manufacturing Personnel and Site Erection crews.
