Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join a team in Oranmore, Co. Galway. You will take responsibility for concrete design from initial calculations through to production, including multi-storey developments and car parks.

You will check 3D models and GA drawings, mentor Design Technicians, liaise with customers and contractors, and provide guidance across QS, H&S, manufacturing and site erection teams. A strong emphasis on deadlines and quality delivery is essential.

Competenze

• 3+ years of structural design engineering experience.
• Experience with precast and/or reinforced concrete.
• Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join their team in Oranmore, Co. Galway. This is a strong opportunity for a Structural Engineer with experience in reinforced concrete or precast design to take responsibility for a range of structural projects from initial design through to production.

The role will involve preparing structural calculations for projects including multi-storey buildings and car parks, as well as designing high-quality precast concrete products to meet project specifications. You will also work closely with Design Technicians, checking 3D models, General Arrangement drawings and shop drawings, while providing technical guidance across the wider business.

You will liaise with customers, external design teams and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard, while also providing technical support to QS, H&S, manufacturing and site erection teams. Requirements

• Strong technical and structural design skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
• Strong focus on deadlines and project delivery.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
