Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager in Ireland to lead cross-functional, complex programs. You will partner with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver on strategic objectives while building scalable governance and repeatable delivery patterns.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
• Proven experience managing complex technical programs across multiple teams.
• Strong expertise in agile delivery models and scrum practices.
• Track record of managing escalations and aligning stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of business strategy, tech landscape, and design trade-offs.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence dependent teams.
• Experience establishing or improving ways of working or governance.
• BS in engineering, computer science, project management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operate with independence to address ambiguity and drive execution.
• Establish foundational program management practices and governance.
• Lead coordination across internal teams and external vendors.
• Bridge gaps between regions, architectures, and organizations.
• Manage escalations and drive resolution of delivery challenges.
• Act as primary contact for programs with senior leadership updates.
• Provide visibility into status, risks, and decisions for stakeholders.
• Facilitate dialogue to resolve misalignment and enable delivery.
• Oversee execution across multiple teams and reporting mechanisms.
• Support scaling of engineering squads with repeatable delivery patterns.
• Build consensus and deliver outcomes with limited guidance.
