Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Galway is seeking an experienced Proposals Engineer to join our team. This role is based at our Galway office and will own opportunities from initial tender assessment through to contract award and handover.

You will coordinate the preparation and delivery of high-quality technical and commercial submissions, developing clear value propositions and winning strategies to meet client requirements, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or a related technical/commercial discipline.
• Proven bid preparation and delivery experience for significant engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing bids from opportunity identification to submission and contract award.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to present persuasively.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete proposal process from qualification through to submission, clarifications and contract award.
• Develop clear win themes, value propositions and competitive strategies for each opportunity.
• Coordinate high-quality technical and commercial submissions aligned with tender requirements.
• Review tender and commercial terms, identify risks and support procurement and client engagements.
• Lead stakeholder coordination across engineering, estimating, commercial and procurement.
• Promote bid governance, process improvement and post-tender learnings.
