Job summary

Keelings is seeking a Production Planner to plan and monitor labour and resource requirements against detailed production plans in a 24/7 environment. You will work closely with the Operations Team to ensure resources and skills meet production needs, minimise time and cost, and maximise efficiency.

Responsibilities include analysing production requirements, scheduling labour, assessing resource constraints, and producing reports to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Supply Chain/Operations/Business or related.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, production planning, and resource planning within an operational environment.
• Advanced MS Excel skills to analyse data, identify trends and support planning decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyse production requirements and prepare mid- to long-term labour and resource plans based on forecast volumes, capacity and skills.
• Schedule and monitor labour deployment against plans, identify constraints and corrective actions.
• Analyse labour availability, worked hours, skill mix and absence trends to support planning decisions.
• Ensure resource availability constraints are integrated into planning and scheduling.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics to support decision-making.
• Coordinate with Operations and stakeholders to align resources with forecast requirements.
• Maintain accurate planning data and controls for reporting and compliance.
• Undertake other duties consistent with the Production Planner role.
