Job summary

Keelings is seeking an Assistant Labour Planning Manager to support the Central Planning Manager in planning, deployment and monitoring of labour across a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment. You’ll ensure the right number of skilled employees are available across shifts to meet daily and weekly production needs while controlling costs.

You will work with Operations, HR, Training, Recruitment, Finance, Procurement and external agencies, lead the Labour Planning team day-to-day, and deputise

Qualifications

• Proven experience in labour, workforce or resource planning in a fast-paced production/24/7 environment.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in a dynamic setting.
• Experience with labour cost control and KPI reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Labour Planning & Deployment – plan and allocate labour across all operations to meet daily/weekly production needs.
• Team Leadership – support and manage the Labour Planning team and deputise for the Labour Planning Manager as required.
• Labour Cost & Payroll Control – monitor costs, overtime, absence and agency usage, ensuring accuracy in payroll data.
• Agency & Workforce Management – manage relationships with agencies and ensure staffing needs are met.
• Compliance & Auditing – monitor Working Time Directive compliance and conduct regular audits of planning processes.
• Reporting & Analysis – prepare KPI reports and labour analyses to identify trends and improvements.
• HR, Recruitment & Training Support – identify labour requirements and training priorities with HR and Recruitment.
• Continuous Improvement & Annual Leave Management – support planning improvements and holiday leave planning.
