Job summary

Musgrave Group is seeking a Head Planner Assistant for Morehampton Foods to join our team in Ireland. The role focuses on controlling and tracking business performance, proactively improving operations, and leading the administration team between planning and distribution.

The successful candidate will support daily planning, invoicing, stock control, cost analysis, and cross‑functional communication across departments, while coaching colleagues and contributing to strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks and ensure completion within agreed timelines.
• Basic Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Planning – ensure orders being processed on time in full.
• Accounting- invoicing all customers internal & external.
• Stock Control-keep the stock level and purchase value on the target given.
• Costing Analysis- review the annum cost of manufacturing.
• Maintaining Sales performance- keep in line with target received.
• Communicating effectively with all depts. Of the business- internally and externally.
• Building engagement channel between production unit and retail chain.
• Coaching – providing training to the new colleagues – upskill & developing existing team.
• Compile all customer orders daily by phone/email /ProdTrac & either key them onto the system or upload them via EDI/ProdTrac.
• Feed into strategic planning for delivering future business growth.
• Compose and manage Joint Business Plans with customer base and negotiate trading terms in a profitable fashion.
• Analyse category performance by product range to identify growth opportunities.
• Report to Operations Manager at weekly sales meetings on overall customer performance.
• To produce & print a Production Plan for the Factory from all orders to produce each day/night.
• To advise Customers of any Shortages/Temporary Delists/Delivery Delays
