Job summary

Careerwise Recruitment seeks a qualified Management Accountant to join the finance team in Galway. You will produce management accounts, deliver insightful financial analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting to drive business performance.

You will report to the Finance Manager, partner with operational teams, and help develop KPI dashboards while leading a small finance team. Galway location with on-site role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 3+ years experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or construction sector experience desirable.
• Strong month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with Power BI and ERP systems advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting against budgets and forecasts.
• Complete month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
• Monitor costs, overheads, cash flow, and capital expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Partner with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insights.
• Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.
