Job summary

Verizon in Ireland is seeking a sourcing leader for an IT category within the IT Sourcing Department, overseeing more than half a billion dollars in annual spend and guiding internal stakeholders through the acquisition process. You will identify suppliers, review requirements and agreements, and drive cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance.

You will negotiate terms, manage supplier performance, and work closely with Legal, Contract Management, Tax, and policy experts to keep deals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant Strategic Sourcing experience.
• Category Sourcing Management, Supplier Management and/or Purchasing experience.
• To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland. We are currently unable to support employment permit sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing process for an IT Category within the IT Sourcing Department, overseeing a multi-million dollar spend.
• Identify potential suppliers, review & draft requirements and agreements, analyze qualifications, and negotiate deals.
• Identify savings opportunities and monitor supplier performance to maintain market-leading position.
• Guide internal business stakeholders through the acquisition process and ensure compliant, well-documented terminations where applicable.
• Collaborate with Legal counsel, Contract Manager, Tax, and other policy experts to ensure contract terms are upheld.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or relevant Strategic Sourcing experience
