Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a government agency based in Citywest, Co. Dublin, for a full-time HR Business Partner on a 12-month contract.

The role operates on a hybrid model with occasional travel to work sites and after-hours work as required. You will act as the primary HR contact, provide expert advice on employment law, manage end-to-end recruitment, analytics, and reporting for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
• Third level qualification in HR at NFQ Level 7 or equivalent.
• Public sector experience is desirable.
• Experience leading grievance & disciplinary cases.
• Strong influencing and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and produce reports and metrics.
• Knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
• Proficient with HRIS and ATS systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary HR contact for designated departments with expert advice on HR policies and employment terms.
• Partner with managers on employee relations, change, workforce planning and performance management.
• Analyse workforce data to support resource planning, recruitment, retention and informed decisions.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction with focus on equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Support payroll inputs, benefits administration and probation processes.
• Develop and deliver training on HR policies and relevant topics.
• Lead HR projects to enhance processes, culture, and employee experience.
• Prepare HR reports and workforce insights for senior leadership and external audits.
