Job summary

Comfort Homecare, Ireland's fastest-growing homecare provider, seeks an HR Business Partner to lead the HR team and align people strategy with business goals. You will oversee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and policy compliance across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will drive engagement, development, and effective HR services while promoting organisational growth and compliance with employment legislation.

Qualifications

• Evidence of strong HR leadership and team management.
• Experience supporting HR strategy and organisational development.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support HR team members.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for HR staff.
• Ensure HR objectives and service standards are achieved.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding for overseas and European candidates.
• Support managers with workforce planning and talent acquisition.
• Monitor employee retention and implement improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters.
• Ensure investigations and hearings are conducted fairly and consistently.
• Coordinate appraisal and probation review processes.
• Support managers in setting objectives and managing performance concerns.
• Monitor compliance with performance management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems.
• Identify organisational training needs.
• Coordinate learning and development programmes.
• Promote leadership and management development initiatives.
• Monitor HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, and training compliance.
• Produce regular reports for senior management.
• Recommend improvements based on workforce data and trends.
