Job summary

RBK Chartered Accountants seeks a Financial Accountant for a Longford-based manufacturing client to deliver accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and commercial support across the organisation.

The role covers month-end close, budgeting, cash flow management, VAT, grant claims, and financial analysis to assist operational and strategic decision-making, with exposure to UK and Ireland finance.

Qualifications

• Qualified/Part Qualified accounting professionals with strong technical knowledge.
• Experience with month-end close, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with VAT, audit prep and financial compliance.
• Ability to communicate across departments and manage detail.
• Experience in manufacturing/operational finance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet).
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of records.
• Perform variance analysis on financial and operational performance.
• Process cash receipts and manage debt control.
• Monitor and manage cash flows and banking relations.
• Assist in budgeting and CAPEX reviews; maintain fixed asset registers.
• Coordinate VAT returns and grant claims (R&D, Green, Lean, Training).
• Support internal controls and audit processes across UK & Ireland operations.
