Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Head of Finance Strategy for a leading global insurance and financial services organisation. You will report to the CFO and act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Executive Committee, shaping financial strategy and governance across the strategic portfolio.

You will deliver robust financial insight, produce concise reports and papers for the Board, lead investment appraisal and cost-benefit analysis, monitor performance and risks, and ensure decisions balance

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in finance and strategy within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of insurance or financial services regulatory framework.
• Ability to influence C-suite and boards with credible challenge.
• Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver robust financial insight, constructive challenge and strategic guidance to inform key business decisions.
• Produce concise reports, strategic papers and recommendations for senior executives, governance committees and the Board.
• Lead financial assessment of strategic initiatives, including business case development and investment appraisal.
• Monitor performance, costs, benefits and delivery of the strategic portfolio and identify risks.
• Provide strategic financial oversight across investments, capital allocation and portfolio prioritisation.
• Enhance financial governance, risk management and conduct oversight in line with regulatory standards.
• Balance customer outcomes, risk appetite, investment discipline and commercial performance in decisions.
