Job summary

Engage People Recruitment partners with a well-established Irish-owned business to recruit a hands-on Finance Leader who will own the finance function at the centre of the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive planning, performance, and decision making, and lead a small finance team to enable scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on finance leadership in a growing SME.
• Strong commercial acumen to influence decision-making.
• Experience managing auditors, banks and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and board reporting).
• Deliver cashflow forecasting, margin analysis and commercial insights for decisions.
• Own budgeting and forecasting with strong cost control and commercial focus.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial modelling and strategic planning.
• Manage audit, banking relationships, payroll and statutory compliance.
• Drive improvements across systems, reporting and processes to support scalability.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.
• Contribute at board level to commercial strategy and growth initiatives.
