Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Pre-Construction professional to drive pre-construction activities on large-scale projects across Europe. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Electrical Building Services or M&E sector.
• At least 5 years in a Pre-Construction, Senior Estimating, or Electrical Bid Management role.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, infrastructure, and building services delivery.
• Experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or large commercial projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of JCT / NEC contracts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
• Proficient in estimating software, MS Project / Asta, and digital construction platforms.

Responsibilities

• Leading the electrical pre-construction and bid management process from enquiry through to project handover.
• Developing winning strategies for Electrical and full M&E Design & Build tenders.
• Coordinating Electrical Estimators, Design Engineers, Planners, and Bid Teams.
• Reviewing electrical technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Managing electrical design development and technical compliance throughout tender stages.
• Identifying project risks, long-lead electrical equipment requirements, and programme constraints.
• Driving value engineering opportunities and innovative electrical solutions.
• Leading supply chain engagement with key electrical manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Managing tender programmes and ensuring submissions meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and tender interviews with clients and consultants.
• Supporting seamless handover from Pre-Construction to Operations and Project Delivery teams.
• Monitoring market trends, bid performance, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
