Job summary

Sysco Ireland is seeking a Demand Planner to ensure product availability across the distribution system in support of our Commercial Strategy and customer service requirements. The role focuses on accurate ordering, forecasting to minimise stockouts and excess stock, and collaboration with suppliers and the Replenishment Manager.

You will analyse sales data to drive profitability, manage promotions and forward buys, and uphold strong supplier relationships while supporting weekend and holiday

Qualifications

• Excellent PC skills and systems knowledge.
• Excel and AX/MRP knowledge preferred; training provided.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and deadline orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible, innovative, and creative attitude.
• Analytical problem solving abilities.
• Team player; able to interact with customers and suppliers.
• Willing to work weekends, bank holidays and outside core hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate ordering of product to support sales.
• Forecast to reduce excess stock while maximising availability.
• Ensure all product support documentation is received.
• Improve profitability within the department on excess stock and dumping.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure effective product supply.
• Assist in meeting and exceeding Replenishment targets.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Liaise with Replenishment Manager on orders for promotions and forward buys.
• Interpret sales reports to minimise markdowns and overstocks.
