Job summary

AllSite Staffing seeks an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of Energy and Data Centre projects, with full responsibility for the commercial, contractual and financial performance from pre-construction through to final account. The role requires guiding estimators, procurement, cost management and contract administration while shaping strategy at the highest level.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in senior commercial management roles on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record delivering projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Experience in estimating, procurement, cost planning and commercial management.
• Background in energy, utilities, data centres, industrial or major infrastructure projects.
• Excellent commercial, contractual and financial management expertise.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with executive-level influence.
• Strategic thinker with leadership, negotiation and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall commercial strategy, governance and financial performance of the project.
• Manage, mentor and develop the commercial team.
• Act as the primary commercial interface with the client and senior stakeholders.
• Partner with the CEO, Managing Director and Project Directors to support commercial decision-making and business strategy.
• Deliver accurate commercial reporting, forecasting and financial control.
• Lead estimating, budgeting, cost planning and feasibility assessments.
• Develop procurement strategies and contract packaging.
• Oversee tender documentation, scopes of work and commercial submissions.
• Lead tender evaluations, commercial negotiations and contract awards.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and proactive commercial risk management.
• Lead procurement of major subcontract and supplier packages.
• Manage commercial performance across all contracts, including valuations, variations, change control and claims.
• Maintain robust cost reporting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, FIDIC and bespoke contract forms.
• Lead commercial negotiations, dispute avoidance and contract resolution.
• Lead final account negotiations and commercial close-out.
• Ensure accurate financial reconciliation and project completion.
• Deliver post-project cost analysis, benchmarking and lessons learned to support future business growth.
