Job summary

Catalyx, based in Longford, seeks a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy and governance for a scaling machine vision and automation company. You will own planning, cash flow, and reporting while partnering with the leadership team to drive growth and operational excellence.

The role requires experience in project-based settings, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to develop robust financial processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership experience, ideally in CFO/Finance Director roles.
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
• Strong cash flow, working capital management and financial governance.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the financial strategy of the organisation and guide leadership on key decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance management across the business.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital, and treasury relationships.
• Strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting structures to scale growth.
• Ensure statutory compliance, tax management and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with commercial, production and engineering to cost projects accurately.
• Partner with banks and lenders to secure funding and optimize capital.
• Mentor and develop the finance team into a high‑performing function.
