Job summary

The Western Union Company invites an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Dublin team in a hybrid role. You will lead accounting activities, interact with outsourced providers, and report to the local CFO, delivering high-quality financial statements and regulatory filings under IFRS and US GAAP.

You will prepare key management reports for senior executives and audit committees, while ensuring regulatory duties and effective monthly close processes.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified in ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA or CPA with 5+ years’ experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; familiarity with regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with Accounting teams including oversight of outsourced service providers to ensure timely work.
• Prepare standalone financial statements and regulatory filings according to GAAP/IFRS.
• Prepare key management reports for Senior Management, Boards and Audit Committees.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations such as safeguarding customer funds and capital adequacy.
• Oversee monthly processes: journal entries revision, trial balance analysis, balance sheet analysis per GAAP and Western Union policies.
• Work with business partners to analyze and resolve financial reporting issues.
• Cooperate with auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
• Support management in implementing process improvements.
