Job summary

Base Wood Fired Pizza is looking for a hands-on Store Manager to lead our team and keep the store running smoothly. You’ll own staffing, stock, sales, and service standards, delivering top-quality pizzas and ensuring every customer leaves happy.

You will recruit, train, and develop team members, oversee daily operations from opening to close, manage cash and reporting, and drive growth while upholding health, safety and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role, takeaway, or hospitality.
• A genuine passion for food and great customer service.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Confidence handling stock control, ordering, and basic financial reporting.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weeks.
• A positive, can‑do attitude and pride in a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and rostering a team of pizza chefs and front-of-house staff.
• Overseeing daily store operations, from opening to close.
• Ensuring food quality, consistency, and hygiene standards are met every single time.
• Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Handling cash management, till reconciliation, and sales reporting.
• Recruiting, training, and developing team members.
• Delivering excellent customer service and resolving any issues quickly.
• Driving sales and identifying opportunities to grow the business.
• Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.

The Role

As Store Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the day-to-day success of our store — leading a great team, delivering top-quality pizza, and making sure every customer leaves happy. You’ll take ownership of everything from staffing and stock to sales and service standards.
