Job summary

Kilkenny Design is hiring a stockroom assistant to support the Barrysparks site in Swords. The role focuses on getting stock to the sale floor, managing stock movements between stores and suppliers, and maintaining accurate stock records.

You will ensure barcode accuracy, handle stock receipts, and follow health and safety rules while delivering excellent customer service as part of the Kilkenny team.

Qualifications

• Stockroom/warehouse experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good customer service mindset

Responsibilities

• Move stock from backroom to sales floor
• Manage stock movements between stores and suppliers
• Record stock receipts and inventory movements
• Process stock discrepancies and credits paperwork
• Barcoding of stock items and ensure SKU accuracy
• Maintain a clean, safe stockroom in line with health and safety policies

About You

You’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product knowledge, and building quality customer relationships to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador for our values and the Kilkenny brand.

• Key responsibility of the stockroom assistant is to get stock to the sale floor.
• Manage all stock movements from suppliers and that are transferred between the stores.
• Follow through with any discrepancies that arise with stock.
• Receipt stock and keep accurate records for all inwards and outwards inventory movements.
• Process claims where required on faulty goods, late deliveries, and short deliveries.
• Investigate claims where required on faulty goods, late deliveries, and short deliveries.
• Work with your manager to ensure all paperwork associated with credits are completed and recorded accurately.
• Ensuring the stockroom is always kept clear and accessible.
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Managing SKU accuracy that all stock barcoded match correctly to the system.
• Barcoding of stock items when required.
