Job summary

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Stainless Steel Welder for an industrial project in Ballyragget, Ireland. This temporary role requires expertise in MIG and TIG welding, along with skills in stainless steel finishing and the ability to read technical drawings. Successful candidates will maintain a safe working environment while coordinating with supervisors and other trades. Immediate start is available for a reliable and punctual individual.

Qualifications

• Have a valid Safe Pass card or CSR equivalent.
• Have a valid Manual Handling certificate.
• Abrasive Wheel training preferable.

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding of stainless-steel parts and structures.
• Reading and working from drawings.
• Material prep including cutting, grinding and cleaning.
• Fitting and assembling components to spec.
• Inspect welds visually and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Skills

TIG/MIG stainless steel welding experience

Stainless steel finishing skills (grinding, polishing, cleaning)

Ability to work from technical drawings

The Business is Family owned, and managed, with over 30 years’ experience in all areas of the construction sector their success is a strong testament to the supporting divisions within the group such as Crane Hire, Plant Hire, Construction & Demolition, Steelworks, Haulage, and Waste Recycling.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Stainless Steel Welder to join our team at our industrial construction project in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny. The role involves welding and fabrication work both on the construction site and in the on‑site workshop.

Requirements

• Have a valid Safe Pass card or CSR equivalent.
• Have a valid Manual Handling certificate.
• Abrasive Wheel training preferable.
• Proven TIG/MIG stainless steel welding experience essential.
• Skilled in stainless‑steel finishing (grinding, polishing, cleaning).
• Ability to work from technical drawings and fabrication details.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding of stainless‑steel parts and structures
• Reading and working from drawings
• Material prep including cutting, grinding and cleaning.
• Fitting and assembling components to spec
• Weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead) as required on site.
• Inspect welds visually and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.
• Follow hot‑work permits, fire‑watch procedures, and site safety rules.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report hazards immediately.
