Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Revenue Intelligence to shape technical direction across customer-facing apps, data pipelines, and cloud services. This hands-on leadership role balances architecture with code, guiding teams while delivering reliable, scalable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, advance observability, security, and production readiness, and partner with Product, Data Science, Infrastructure, and Security to align long-term platform strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Deep hands-on Python expertise.
• Strong architecture and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Experience with data-intensive systems (PostgreSQL/Redshift) and large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve the technical strategy for Revenue Intelligence across systems and teams.
• Lead design and delivery of complex capabilities in web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and analytics storage.
• Identify and resolve scalability, security, data quality, observability, and operability risks.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems with incremental migrations preserving production stability.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, Infrastructure, Security, and engineering leaders to define boundaries and long-term direction.
• Remain hands-on in code, participate in design reviews, incident response, and critical engineering work.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards through guidance and documentation.
