Job summary

Google is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer for Core Networking in Dublin, Ireland. You will own the reliability of large-scale data center and WAN networks, drive automation, and partner with software and systems teams to improve uptime and performance at scale.

• Protect ML network reliability by improving ML network observability tooling, and provide emergency response for the ML network related incidents.
• Drive standardization in network management tools, workflows, and processes to minimize human involvement and simplify emergency response.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google Cloud's services—both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.
Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. Core Networking SRE's mission is to design, develop, and manage policies and systems to improve the reliability of Google's production networks. Specifically, the team works to enhance the reliability and scalability of Google's production networks, focusing on the data center and wide area network (WAN) production network.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Ireland: €150000 - €153000 (EUR) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
