Job summary

Google is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for Edge Infrastructure Operations in Dublin, Ireland. You will help manage systems at scale, automate operations, and build tools that reduce toil while improving observability and reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support Linux machines globally to ensure reliability of Google's content delivery and compute infrastructure.
• Collaborate with partner ISPs for remote troubleshooting and IP networking support.
• Work as part of a follow-the-sun operations roster during Dublin core hours.
• Identify and implement projects to automate and improve support and onboarding of new hardware/services.
• Partner closely with engineering teams, hardware vendors, product managers, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Support Linux machines across the globe to ensure the reliability of Google's content delivery and compute infrastructure.
• Partner regularly with partner Internet Service Provider (ISPs) to provide remote troubleshooting and Internet Protocol (IP) networking support.
• Perform as part of a follow-the-sun operations team via a roster during Dublin core hours.
• Identify and implement projects to automate and improve support, and onboard new hardware and services.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, hardware vendors, product managers, and partners.
