Job summary

The Talbot Group is seeking a dedicated care professional to provide person-centred support for residents with intellectual disability, ABI, or autism. Join a team focused on independence and meaningful daily living in a home-like environment.

You will work in our Kildare location, contributing to care plans, supervising and mentoring staff, and delivering continuous professional development to ensure exceptional service for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in healthcare required.
• 3 years experience in residential, respite or day service with people with an intellectual disability.
• Experience of managing a team.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role:

The primary objective of this post is to provide care and support through a person-centred approach which meets the practical, physical and emotional needs of service users, with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism. To assist persons with a disability with residential, training and day service activities to achieve their highest level of functioning to maintain independence and/or to improve skills that will make them more independent.

Role Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• QQI Level 5 in healthcare
• Have 3 years experience working in a residential, respite or day service setting with people with an intellectual disability.
• Experience of managing a team
