Job summary

Ethos Care Group is seeking a compassionate Staff Nurse to deliver person-centred care in a supportive nursing home. You will lead by example, meeting residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs while upholding high clinical standards. Ireland-based applicants with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, with flexible shifts across days, nights, and weekends. A strong commitment to quality care and resident well-being is essential.

Qualifications

  • Active NMBI registration is required.
  • Experience in nursing home, older persons' care, rehabilitation or acute hospital settings is desirable.
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and person-centred care practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care while promoting residents' dignity and independence.
  • Support, mentor and supervise healthcare assistants and care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
  • Assist with audits, inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
  • Contribute to a safe, person-centred care environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents in a supportive nursing home environment. You will lead by example, ensuring residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. This role is ideally suited to nurses currently living in Ireland who have relevant clinical experience and are passionate about providing exceptional care to older persons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent nursing care while promoting residents' dignity, independence and respect
  • Support, mentor and supervise healthcare assistants and care staff
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

About You
  • Registered General Nurse with an active NMBI PIN
  • Currently living in Ireland and eligible to work in Ireland
  • Previous nursing home, older persons' care, rehabilitation or acute hospital experience desirable
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and person-centred care practices is advantageous
  • Excellent clinical, communication and documentation skills
  • Strong teamwork and organisational abilities
  • Passionate about caring for older people and enhancing quality of life
  • Flexible to work a range of shifts, including days, nights and weekends across a 7-day roster

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and professional nurse with a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care. You will be confident working within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and be dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice. Applicants must hold an active NMBI registration and be currently eligible to work in Ireland. Experience working within the Irish healthcare system is desirable.
