Job summary

European Tech Recruit is partnering with a global technology organisation to hire a Staff Microcontroller Subsystem Design Engineer. The role focuses on complex digital blocks and embedded processing architectures within a collaborative engineering environment.

Key responsibilities include RTL development, multi-clock and multi-power-domain design, high-frequency and low-power optimisations, as well as post-silicon bring-up and detailed design documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years professional ASIC design experience.
• Strong understanding of RTL design and digital design methodologies.
• Experience with processor or microcontroller subsystem design.
• Knowledge of instruction set architectures such as ARM Thumb and/or RISC-V.
• Experience working with multi-clock-domain designs.
• Experience working with multiple power domains and low-power design techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design micro-architectures for both simple and complex digital logic blocks.
• Develop RTL using industry-standard design practices and methodologies.
• Work on multi-clock and multi-power-domain designs.
• Address high-frequency, low-power, low-latency, and high-performance design requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support post-silicon bring-up and silicon debugging activities.
• Create comprehensive design documentation covering architecture, implementation, and design decisions.
• Optimise digital designs for key metrics including area, power, performance, and latency.
