Job summary

Enable Ireland in Dunshaughlin/East Meath is seeking a Staff Grade Psychologist to join an interdisciplinary team delivering psychology services to children and young people with disabilities. The post covers assessment, intervention, supervision and service development across clinics, schools and community settings.

The successful applicant will hold PSI/BPS registration or equivalent and meet the specified education, placements and GP requirements, with permissions to work across the region.

Qualifications

• University degree with 1st/2nd class honours in psychology as a major subject.
• An Irish post-graduate psychology qualification accredited by PSI or BPS.
• Or an equivalent foreign qualification validated for practice in Ireland.
• Demonstrated competence in the care group(s) applied for.
• Post-qualification supervised clinical/work experience in relevant areas (60 days min) for clinical/counselling or educational psychology.
• Must be a PSI or BPS member; valid driving licence; willing to deliver services across a large geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of psychologist services for children (0–18) and families within an interdisciplinary framework.
• Involve assessment, intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development across clinics, preschools, schools, homes and community settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure family-centred approaches.
