Job summary

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Staff Grade Psychologist for a child-focused service in Donegal town. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering assessments, interventions, and support for children and families.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, professional development, and safeguarding within educational and health settings. Irish PSI-accredited qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people, ideally with disabilities.
• Experience delivering psychological assessments and interventions in clinical, educational, or community settings.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary team care planning.
• Postgraduate qualification recognised by PSI/Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments for children and young people with developmental, behavioral, emotional, or learning needs.
• Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions under guidance from senior psychologists, including behavioral support and developmental strategies.
• Provide consultation and advice to families, carers, and staff regarding children’s psychological and developmental needs.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning, collaborating with educational, health, and social care professionals.
• Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and records in line with professional standards and policies.
• Participate in supervision and professional development to enhance clinical skills.
• Support service evaluation, quality improvement, and safeguarding and ethical standards.
