Job summary

Fin is seeking a Staff Engineer to shape the direction of its web platform and systems. You will lead across marketing, analytics, design, and data science to ensure a modern, performant, and measurable web stack.

This role demands autonomy, strong communication, and a track record of elevating engineering standards. You will own long-term technical strategy, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on to the codebase while aligning with product goals and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in a high-scale growth-focused web environment.
• Track record of technical leadership and influencing direction across teams.
• Deep expertise in Next.js and React ecosystem.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful or Sanity.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and cloud platforms (AWS, CloudFront, S3).
• Experience operating experimentation infrastructure (A/B testing, event instrumentation).
• Strong understanding of web analytics and data instrumentation (Google Tag Manager, event tracking).
• Comfortable with full-stack codebases and frontend architecture awareness.
• Experience in continuous delivery with high-quality shipping.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the architecture of Fin's web platform.
• Define long-term technical strategy for the web team focusing on scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with marketing, design, analytics, and data science to support goals with accuracy and performance.
• Lead design and implementation of MarTech and analytics systems including event tracking and attribution.
• Mentor engineers across the team and elevate engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership to Engineering Managers and Product Managers.
