Job summary

Fin, now part of Salesforce, is seeking Staff Product Engineers to join the AI Group to build Fin's AI-powered products. Product Engineers working in ML work closely with both our ML Scientists and product teams. They must deeply understand our product, our customers, our ML tech stack and our broader product stack.

We are an extremely product focussed team. We work in partnership with Product and Design functions of teams we support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality products.
• No ML experience required. You can be highly effective immediately with strong software engineering skills.
• Demonstrated impact in previous work and a willingness to learn ML on the job.
• Strong fundamentals in a high-level language (e.g., Ruby, Python, JavaScript).
• BSc in Computer Science, Maths or Statistics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build the systems powering Fin's flagship AI products, primarily in the ML Python stack and Rails app.
• Collaborate with ML Scientists to move proof-of-concept code to production, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Partner with product teams outside the group to shape the AI-powered product experience.
• Contribute to all phases of software development including ideation, prototyping, implementation and testing.
• Play an active role in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
• Raise the bar for technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence within the group and across Fin.
