Job summary

Salesforce's Fin AI group seeks a Senior Product Engineer to build AI-powered products, working closely with ML Scientists and product teams. You’ll contribute across the stack, primarily in ML Python, with Rails involvement. The role emphasizes production readiness, scalability, and strong engineering fundamentals.

You’ll join a product-focused team, shipping to beta quickly, and mentoring engineers while advancing AI capabilities for customers in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality products.
• No ML experience required; strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to demonstrate significant impact in prior work.
• Willingness to learn ML while on the team.
• Bias towards progress over perfection.
• BSc in Computer Science, Maths or Statistics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build the systems that power Fin's flagship AI products, primarily in ML Python stack, with occasional Rails work.
• Collaborate with ML Scientists to move proofs-of-concept to production.
• Partner with external product teams to craft the best AI-powered user experiences.
• Contribute to all phases of software development: ideation, prototyping, implementation and testing.
• Mentor and develop other engineers and raise technical standards within the group.
