Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain staff bedrooms and communal areas across on-site and off-site accommodation.
• Follow daily and weekly deep-cleaning schedules to uphold high standards.
• Assist with room turnovers, inspections and seasonal deep cleans.
• Ensure communal areas are stocked with essential supplies.
• Support linen changes and laundry during staff check-ins/outs.
• Assist the Staff Accommodation department in day-to-day operations and meet-and-greet duties when required.
• Handle and distribute post and deliveries for residents.
• Report maintenance issues, damages or health and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism within staff living areas.

Staff Accommodation Cleaner / Assistant – Luxury Hotel

We are recruiting for a full-time Staff Accommodation Cleaner / Assistant to support the upkeep and daily operation of our staff accommodation facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and wellbeing for our employees, in line with The Red Carnation Hotels standards.

A full, valid driving licence is required, as travel between accommodation locations is part of this role.

Location: Cong, County Mayo, Ireland.

Employment type: Full-Time

Working pattern: 5 days over 7 days (may include some Saturday and Bank Holidays from time to time).

Key responsibilities of the Staff Accommodation Cleaner / Assistant will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining staff bedrooms and communal areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces, across on-site and off-site staff accommodation.
• Following daily and weekly deep-cleaning schedules to ensure consistently high standards.
• Assisting with room turnovers, inspections, and seasonal deep cleans.
• Ensuring communal areas are well stocked with essential supplies.
• Supporting linen changes and laundry requirements during staff check-ins and check-outs.
• Assisting with the smooth operation of the Staff Accommodation department, including meet-and-greet of new residents where required.
• Handling and distributing post and deliveries for accommodation residents.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or health & safety concerns promptly.
• Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for privacy within staff living areas.
• Adhering to all hygiene, health, and safety policies at all times.
