Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Manager for Storage Layer Services in Cork. You will lead a small, senior team, shape the SRE roadmap, and ensure reliability, durability, and safety of the storage layer that underpins Atlas.

Based in Cork for our hybrid model, you will drive architectural decisions, guide the team through operational challenges, and collaborate with other engineering leaders to align platform goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working on software and operating distributed systems
• 2+ years managing engineering teams
• Customer-focused mindset treating internal developers as users
• Strong automation mindset to reduce toil and manual work

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of 6-8 engineers, fostering a positive culture and career growth
• Define and drive a clear technical vision and roadmap for multi-tenant storage systems
• Lead architectural reviews, review PRs, and guide the team through complex challenges
• Act as primary liaison for the Storage Layer Services SRE team and stakeholders
