Job summary

Apple's Enterprise Technology Services in Cork is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability, performance, and scalability of the Insight ecosystem that supports Apple manufacturing and product launches. You will operate and improve a multi-petabyte Big Data stack with ML-driven ops and AIOps to reduce toil.

Qualifications

• Experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering with strong communication across geographies.
• Linux systems proficiency with troubleshooting at the systems level.
• Programming and automation in Python, Go, or Bash with AI/ML in IT ops exposure.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS or GCP) in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and scalability of services in the Insight ecosystem.
• Build and advance AIOps capabilities, automated incident triage, and observability tooling.
• Instrument services with dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and SLOs/SLIs.
• Drive automation to reduce toil and improve uptime; participate in incident reviews.
• Contribute to IaC and platform architecture decisions; mentor Cork team members.
