Job summary

Apple Inc. in Dublin is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Service Infrastructure team within Services Engineering.

You will help scale the cloud underpinning Apple services for billions of users, building and supporting infrastructure for hyperscale environments and the Private Cloud Compute service. As an SRE with a strong engineering background, you will own reliability, observability, incident response, and automation across hardware, networking, and software stacks,

Qualifications

Strong emphasis on SRE as an engineering subject area, with proficiency in one or more languages (Go, Rust, Python, Swift).
Proven experience as a backend internet services software developer.
Knowledge of SDLC; CI, testing methodologies, TDD, and agile development.
Understanding of DNS, DHCP, virtualization, and monitoring.
Experience operating large-scale distributed systems across hardware, OS, and software.
Understanding of SRE principles, observability, alerting, fault budgets, and toil elimination.

Responsibilities

Support hyperscaling of Apple Silicon cloud infrastructure.
Develop automation and reliability tools to scale services.
Respond to alerts and incidents, driving improvements in performance and reliability.
Collaborate across hardware, networking, and software teams to improve systems.
