Job summary

ServiceNow seeks an experienced Sr Manager for the Database Engineering team to drive performance, reliability, and scalability across large production environments. Lead a high-caliber team, optimize PostgreSQL-based architectures, and manage incident responses for critical customer escalations.

You will mentor engineers, promote automation, and partner with platform, application, and infra teams to ensure robust service delivery. Strong leadership and technical depth are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in database/SRE/large-scale ops.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership.
• Deep PostgreSQL and distributed DB architectures.
• Expertise in query optimization and workload management.
• Experience with incident response and customer escalations.
• Experience with SaaS/cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategy for DB performance at scale.
• Improve query performance and reduce latency.
• Establish benchmarks and engineering best practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across lifecycle.
• Lead investigation of production incidents and escalations.
• Build a world-class performance and reliability team.
