Job summary

ServiceNow, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to reliability, scalability, and automation across our infrastructure.

You will use Linux, scripting languages, and automation to prevent repeatable issues and improve system design. In this role you will lead internal stakeholder collaboration, implement telemetry with OpenTelemetry, manage SLAs, and ensure services meet performance goals at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent Knowledge of Linux systems.
• Proficiency in Python/Go/Java/Ruby.
• Experience with large-scale systems focusing on automation, observability, availability and performance.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL database administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain telemetry/monitoring using OpenTelemetry.
• Proven experience in defining and managing SLAs.
• Collaborate with development teams to align new services with standards.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of software development, systems engineering, and networking to proactively prevent repeatable issues.
• Lead internal stakeholders and partner teams to improve reliability, scalability and performance of infrastructure through improved system design.
• Champion automation and scale-focused culture to deliver repeatable, scalable responses to system issues.
