Job summary

McKesson is seeking a senior solution architect to own FP&A architecture across SAP ecosystems. You will design and implement FP&A solutions using S/4HANA, SAC, BPC, Datasphere, PaPM, and FI/CO integrations. You will partner with finance and product teams to optimize planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, driving ROI analyses and mentoring teams. Hybrid/remote in Ireland with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in solution architecture or equivalent roles.
• Experience implementing FP&A processes (planning, budgeting, forecasting).
• Strong SAP S/4HANA and FI/CO knowledge.
• Experience with data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
• Proven ability to build business cases and ROI analyses.
• Experience leading large-scale ERP transformations.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the end-to-end solution architecture for FP&A and finance transformation initiatives across SAP ecosystems
• Design and implement solutions leveraging SAP S/4HANA, SAC, BPC, Datasphere, PaPM and FI/CO integrations
• Support the operations and maintenance of the FP&A solution.
• Help drive business case development, financial modeling, and ROI analysis to support strategic decisions
• Partner with business leaders to optimize planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Lead large-scale digital transformation programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions across the SDLC
• Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams and influence architecture standards

Basic Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, application development, or enterprise systems design
• Design and development experience around implementing FP&A processes (planning, budgeting, forecasting) involving SAC, BPC, Datasphere, PaPM
• Proven experience and understanding of SAP S/4HANA and finance modules (FI/CO)
• Experience with enterprise data modeling, reporting, and analytics platforms
• Demonstrated success building business cases and performing financial/analytical modeling
• Experience leading large-scale transformation or ERP implementations
• Strong expertise in data integration, APIs, and enterprise application architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Consulting background in business process transformation or strategy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making
• Exposure to regulated industries and compliance-driven environments
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps and modern SDLC practices
• Experience mentoring teams and driving architectural best practices

Travel / Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Hybrid or remote work flexibility depending on business needs. Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder workshops or program delivery.
