Job summary

McKesson seeks a Lead Solution Architect, Core Finance to shape enterprise SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions and lead transformations across General Ledger, Treasury, and Record to Report. You will partner with Finance, Treasury, Accounting, and Technology to design target-state architectures and roadmaps.

You will translate business goals into architecture decisions, oversee fit-gap analyses, and drive secure, compliant implementations while communicating risks and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, SAP Finance, finance technology, or large-scale business transformation.
• Experience with General Ledger, Treasury, Record to Report, or finance process and technology capabilities.
• Experience designing solutions in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including finance configuration and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities, including General Ledger, Treasury, finance configuration, and integrations with MM and SD.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Accounting, and Technology teams to define target-state architecture, roadmaps, and transformation plans.
• Translate business needs into scalable solution designs, integration patterns, and architecture decisions.
• Lead fit-gap analysis, options assessment, risk evaluation, and business case development for enterprise finance initiatives.
• Guide large-scale transformation programs from strategy and design through implementation and optimization.
• Evaluate technology choices, process impacts, and integration dependencies to support secure, reliable, and compliant solutions.
• Communicate architecture recommendations, trade-offs, and risks clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
• Promote architecture standards, governance, reuse, and continuous improvement across the enterprise landscape.

Position Summary

Position Summary (Purpose of job): McKesson is seeking a Lead Solution Architect, Core Finance to shape enterprise technology solutions that support finance transformation, scalable business processes, and measurable business value. In this role, you will partner across Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Technology, Product, and Operations to design modern, integrated solutions that enable General Ledger, Treasury, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and related SAP S/4HANA capabilities. You will bring strong solution architecture expertise, business case discipline, consulting-style problem solving, and experience leading complex transformations. This role is ideal for a strategic technology leader who can translate business objectives into practical architecture, simplify complex problems, and influence decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Basic Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, SAP Finance, finance technology, or large-scale business transformation.
• Experience with General Ledger, Treasury, Record to Report, or finance process and technology capabilities.
• Experience designing solutions in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including finance configuration and enterprise integrations.
• Experience integrating SAP Finance capabilities with MM, SD, or related business processes.
• Experience developing or evaluating business cases, including benefits, risks, costs, trade-offs, and implementation considerations.
• Experience leading or supporting large transformation initiatives in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience communicating solution recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Consulting experience in business process improvement, finance transformation, enterprise strategy, or technology advisory.
• Experience with Treasury operations, cash management, payments, bank integrations, or liquidity processes.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, Fiori, BTP, APIs, middleware, data platforms, or cloud-enabled architecture.
• Experience in regulated, healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, or large-scale supply chain environments.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks, governance, roadmap development, and enterprise standards.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence across teams, simplify complexity, and drive alignment in ambiguous environments.
• SAP, architecture, cloud, agile, or process improvement certifications are a plus.

Pay Range

Our Base Pay Range for this position €82,500 - €137,500.
