Job summary

JOB DETAILS:

• Location: Dublin, Ireland
• Onsite: This role requires the student to work full time onsite throughout the duration of the intern term
• Duration: Students must be available to start on January 15th and finish August 13th 2027

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

We are seeking highly motivated interns to join various hiring teams to design, build, and promote AI-powered solutions that enhance productivity and automate business processes across AMD. In the role, you will participate in one or more of (but not limited to) the below assignments –

• Identify and document workflows suitable for AI-driven automation and process improvement
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business challenges into innovative AI and automation opportunities
• Prototype, develop, and test proof-of-concept solutions using AI/LLM technologies, scripting languages, and automation platforms
• Contribute to the development of AI productivity tools, multi-agent workflow solutions, and automated AI agents
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, APIs, frameworks, and technologies (such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows) for potential business applications
• Support AMD colleagues in adopting and effectively using AI solutions and productivity tools
• Advocate for AI-enabled ways of working across the organization
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver impactful AI-driven projects
• Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies, software development practices, and enterprise-scale solutions

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• You are currently enrolled in an Ireland based University in a program majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI or a related field
• If you have experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply:
• Python programming or similar software development exposure
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Building AI-powered applications, agents, or automation solutions through coursework, research, internships, or personal projects
• API integration and automation scripting
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or agentic AI workflows
• Version control systems such as Git
• Full-stack software development fundamentals
• Data handling, analysis, and visualization
• Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Low-code/no-code automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate
